== Fear and loathing on the road to Bexley == Ragnum finds a handwritten note sealed with the symbol of the Red Company slipped under his personal cask of [[Cardum]] Whisky asking him to meet [[Erferil]] at Raymonds Brothel and Tavern in the village of Grenvick. He finds this unsettling as they werent gone from the inn long and his guards didn't see anyone eneter or leave. Given the poor state of health of Lanelor (still suffering from a concussion) the party debates their options - head to [[Grenvik]] to meet Erferil, stay here and rest, or head to [[Bexley]] to find the elves. they decide to rest one more day and then head to Bexley in the morning. After a suprisingly quiet night with no harassing attacks, the party awakes early and prepares to leave. However its not so uneventful afterall as [[Horin]] has spent half the night dealing with anxiety over the Mill of Whispering winds. He relates the story of the red eyed creature from the monestary on the demi plane and a sense of similar forboding now preset at the Mill. They strike out under an oddly cool rain that seems to get worse as they head to Bexley and pass the mill. As they pass they are struck with fear again, Ragnum and Horin both overcome with panic want only to head back to Wanborn but seem frozen to the ground. Gallandrin senses some kind of dimensional gate energy and thinks a demi-plane creature may have come through. He attempts to dispel magic on the area of the tower where others see the red eyes and he notices the effect seems to lessen. With great mental effort they manage to overcome their fear and make their way past [[Whisper Mill]] by heading south off the trial. Mourn leads the way into the brush and a few hours layer they find themselves outside Bexley. A lone shepherd watches over a large but mangy looking flock of grey colored sheep. Gallandrin uses tongues to speak with him and he says there have been rumors of hobgoblins far to the east moving west. Merchants have been seen moving on the roads again. The baron is gathering an army near Oleg keep but he doesn't know what for. They sneak into the town under the cover of a light rain, and notice the village commons grass looks somewhat trampled. They find ample evidence of what they sumize was a large festival, and hear sounds of loud snoring coming from a nearby home. Seeing the town appears to be sleeping off a hangover they head to the Apple Patch Coach House. They note recent wagon tracks in the mud lead to the stable across the street, a goat is tethered to the door. Inside a talkative and loud older woman greets them enthuastically as she goes about cleaning. A drunken 1/2 elf lies alongside the wall under a window that she kicks out of the way to set a hasty table for the party. She constantly yells over over shoulder for Adious (her husband or co-worker is uncertain) who finally appears with food and drinks. After they party flashes additional silver she becomes more talkative, hiking her skirt up to reveal a long leg and suggests they head to [[Oleg Keep]] as the Baron is hiring mercenaries, for a fight with the Hobgoblins and would pay well for adventurers of their stature. Horin notes her figure may be past her human prime and tries to brush off her brazen advance just as her husband returns with a second round of drinks. Adious her husband a greasy haired and wiry man wearing a worn out leather armor jerkin that doubles as an apron seems more skeptical of Maragarets talk of good times coming once the Baron runs off the hobgoblins. He seems dismissive of Margarets view the army will be able to defeat the hobgoblins. As its midday the party decides to head north to Oleg Keep instead of heading back to Wanbone and sets out into the rain. They realize they left their horses outside of town when they met with the shepherd. After a brief panic that their horse had run off they gather them on the outskirts of town and begin the 20 mile ride to Oleg Keep.
