==|summary= == Nail and Durmen evaluate the swords and find them to be of exceptional nature. Each sword is +1 to hit and damage but does not convey any magical abilities. The party forms up for the long march back to [[Coregilia]], Nail and Egon in the front, the former prisoners and Durmen in the middle, while Aldran and Balmaris take up the rear guard. ==== A precussion of giants ==== Not long after noon the party comes across trees down across the road. Fearing an ambush they approach cautiously. Aldran and Egon notice the trees are all laid out in an regular pattern and realizes they are likely looking at footsteps of some kind of Giant. (+1 inspiration) In the ensuing discussion about the potential number of giants, in frustration Aldran loudly exclaims "this is a whats caused by a percussion of giants you idots" before stomping off ahead. The rest of the party attempts to follow but gets caught up in the branches, Dumern trips and takes Nail down with him. The wounded dont fare much better being too weak to clamber through the brush quickly. Aldran still irked, looks back to see his compatriots and asks uncle Cragnar "how do we do this, the response is go, plant your feet and chop". Aldran storms back angrily chopping down a path (crit hits) and pulls the former prisoners free. ==== Green Dragons and gate guards ==== Back on the road again sometime in the late afternoon, Egon spots a green dragon bursting from the sea and streaking skyward to their west. They all dive into the underbrush and most are overcome with dragon fear. Egon watches it fly to the south heading towards Coregilia. They wonder if the town will be there when they arrive in a few more hours. Just after dusk they finally arrive at the gate, but the guards are not willing to open the gates to allow them entry. That is until Balmaris points out they are on a mission from Dame Yarla and they are accompanied by the famous Aldran (recounting his tale with the three wenches). They also mention the sighting of the green dragon heading this way but the guards give them a disbelieving look. Even so the guards allow them to pass and they make their way to the Snapped Line tavern. ==== Dinner is served ==== Abe welcomes them warmly and serves a fine meal of bread, cheese, fruits, and stew. The entire group sits down to eat, During dinner Aldran blithely mention's they should sell the gnomes and dwarves into slavery or make them indentured servants for rescuing them as they aren't worth as much as the swords and there's no reward for bringing them back. Noting "they have tiny hands and make great pickpockets" when the party looks shocked he continues on "there not from around here, no one will miss them, especially if we bury the bodies deep…" Well what we gonna do with ya then, asks Aldran. One of the gnome says they are from Bellport and are fine jewelers. Aldran says well then make up some magical jewelry we can use. The gnomes agree and tell the party it will take a month, at which point the gnomes and dwares depart promising to meet back here in one month. ==== Eira catches Egon's eye ==== Egon catches sight of vision of Elvish beauty in a black leather outfit and flowing black cloak embroidered with silver thread billowing behind her as she attempts to exit the tavern. She introduces herself as Eira Shadowglow, an adventurer who's heard about the party so she came here to see them for herself. Egons flirting leads nowhere but she does promise to look them up once they've had a chance to rest. With that everyone heads off to bed. In the morning Nail inquires about a place to sell off their captured items. Abe says Lexana Brightshore has a mercantile shop not far from the tavern just off the end of the big pier that does a brisk trade in both exotic and mundane goods. They head off to Lexana's trading company to sell their wares. ==== Brightshore Trading Company ==== At the trading center Lexana casts a spell to identify they magical items. She and Durmen get into an argument over pricing and the specifics of the magic items. The moonstones, staff, and 12 swords are all of exceptional nature. Lexana offers what she says is a fair price but wont disclose the details of the items or so they leave angrily. She smugly says she'll still be here when they decide to come back. Durmen wants to "burn it down" but cooler heads previal so they head to Dame Yarla's mining company HQ…. After all ALdran says they can come back later and get some "more head for funzies" once they are paid by Dame Yarla. ==== Constable Ironfist asks for help ==== While en-route to the mining company they decide to avoid the distraction of stopping by the Empty Net tavern and instead take the west road which brings them past the barracks. Constable Halvor stops them and after some questioning asks them to come insides as what he has to share isn't for everyone. He proceeds to tell them that he suspects that someone in the town is involved with Myra Ironclad and her cutthroats. He suspects its Lexana as she does a brisk business up and down the coast moving legitimate trade-goods but the rumor is she's somehow linked to arming the humanoids and local rebel groups. He has no evidence to prove they are working together, and Myra and her crew never cause trouble in town so he cant arrest her. Reportedly she'll be arriving in Coregilia within the next 1-2 days and she likes to moor her ship the Sea Ghost at the Empty Net tavern or just outside the harbor entrance. He asks the PC's to investigate and will provide four guardsmen and a long boat to row them out to the Sea Ghost to take a look around. He'll pay them 100GP to capture Myra, and bring in the Sea Ghost but only 1/2 that if they kill her. The PC's agree and discuss amongst themselves the benefit of having their own sailing ship, especially since this one is already seaworthy unlike the one in the sea hags cavern. With ideas of making money in the sailing business lightening their spirts they head towards Dame Yarla's manor house to sell the bag of goblin heads. === Experience === [[Party Experience]] === Treasure === [[Party Treasure]] === NPC's of Note === [[Abe Falstaff]] [[Eira Shadowglow]] [[Halvor Ironfist]] [[Lexana Brightshore]] === Tasks or Quests === [[Tasks]] Capture or kill Myra and take over the Sea Ghost === Rumors or Intelligence Gained === [[Rumors]] ---- === Player Characters === {| !Characters !Player |- |[[Aldran Stormheart]] |Al Hayat |- |[[Balmaris Dullostii]] |Phil Klohr |- |[[Durmen Tredan]] |Ian |- |[[Nail]] |Mark Johnson |- |[[Poision Egon]] |Steve Politio |- |[[Ricfire Teabridge]] |Keith Welch |}
