Many of its houses are covered with ivy while the remaining occupants have clustered in stoutly looking buildings near the center of the town. A coach house sits across from a well and still serviceable stables. Near the center of town and just off the main road a four story stone watchtower offering a clear view for a few miles in every direction. }} [[File:Bexley.png|thumb|Bexley]] The town boasts a small guard tower garrisoned by 8-12 spearmen who spend most of their time gambling or harassing the travelers. * The road to the south of town dead ends and fades out to grassland. The abandoned trail leads towards [[Whisper Mill]] and from there to the village of [[Wanborne]]. {{dialog |tan| The Apple Patch Coachhouse | The tavern is a wooden single storey building, with a gray tile roof and simple furniture. The street outside is filled with the smell of damp earth and horse manure while a mangy goat serves as a mascot and greets customers. A low, narrow stables sits across the road behind a well. A small copse of apple trees threatens to overgrow the NE end of the stables, even in these harsh times its covered with apples. Aldus is married to [[Margarete]], a loud, nagging, and outlandishly dressed "former" prostitute who will offer her services just to spite her Aldous. There are usually 4-8 patrons inside, typically farmers or shepherds. Towards evening there may be 1-3 travelers staying the night. Over the past few months Aldous has been meeting with a Hobgoblin Warlord named [[Xobzag]] from the [[Ripper|Ripper tribe]] to barter for slaves. Simple farm implements in various sates of repair or construction can be seen silhouetted hanging near an active forge. }} Owner: [[Eloise Mundy]], Human (FTR 7) Eloise keeps an eye out for opportunities to make a few extra gold. She's been known to "fix" a wagon if it appears the merchant can afford the repair cost. She works with Aldous to keep tabs on who's coming and going though she doest know he works for the Scarlet Brotherhood. {{Divbox|tan|The Bent Ax| The general store is a wooden two-storey building, with several shuttered windows and a small enclosed deck. It contains a set of gold scales and jars of bulk candy (stale) on the counter. }} Most of the implements here are farm related though some basic dungeon gear is available. {{Divbox|tan| Bexley Tower |A four story stone tower abuts a two story square building, its side are covered with ivy sits in the center of town. A single pennant flaps gently in the breeze. Arrow slits on what you gather are the third and forth levels overlook all the cardinal points. Atop the tower is a small ballista. The smaller building has a single entrance to the NW and tall narrow windows that span the 1st and 2nd levels. The structure appears to be in good repair. }} *The tower is occupied by a small garrison of 8-12 men at arms, one sergeant, one corporal. *Roving patrols on horseback stop/leave here on a weekly basis. If in town add another 4-6 men at arms and one corporal will be present. *The smaller building used to serve as a chapel to [[Obad-Hai]] and a hall for feats and gatherings but now is used for storage. The main entrance to the tower is through the building. **First Floor - Well, and dry goods storage **Second Floor - Kitchens, workshops **Third Floor - Men at Arms barracks, and armory. Weapons stored along the walls. **Forth Floor - Officers and NCO quarters **Roof - Ballista and 30 rounds of ammo. {{Divbox|tan|Village Commons| The village commons is a large open patch of ground where the locals gather for the various festivals. Its overgrown except in the areas were a few sheep and goats mill about }} * A search of the commons may turn up a few lost coins. Small Cottage Owner: Chad Feeny The house is a timber and brick cabin, with a brown tile roof and a row of flowers around the building. It contains a single bachelor-style room with a bed and chest, along with a dresser on the far wall. In one corner is brick hearth with a cauldron over the fire. A bunch of dried fruit hangs from the ceiling in long strands. A few sheep are grazing at a hay bale in the corner. Cruck House Owner: Ralf Heiser The house is a plaster simple building, with a green tile roof and vines covering the walls and roof. It contains 4 rooms total with 1 bedroom, each containing a dresser. The kitchen has a small firepit with cold coals. Outside is a beautifully manicured garden of flowers, and a small apiary sits just outside the door with honeybees buzzing to and fro. </div> [[Category:Settlement]]
