Driven by an unyielding sense of law, order, and goodness, he rarely compromises his moral code. Despite the weariness of war, he maintained a charismatic and commanding presence. |campaign = Ivae Orr |appearance = A stately man wearing well-maintained plate armor, bearing the crest of his fallen Barony. His face is etched with the lines of stress and decade of war. |voice_mannerisms = Commanding, resonant, and stern, but capable of genuine warmth when speaking about his family or ideals. |bond = His quest to bring law, order, and goodness to his Barony. The safety and honor of his family (now tragically lost). |ideal = Justice. The law is the shield of the weak and the terror of the corrupt. |flaw = Uncompromising. His black-and-white view of morality made alliances and political maneuvering nearly impossible. |info = A fine specimen of the once noble Oredian stock, Sir Keldic ran afoul of various criminal factions in his quest to bring law, order, and goodness to his Barony. His anti-corruption efforts earned him both their respect and the ire of the local thieves' guilds. They generally co-existed peacefully enough: Keldic would run the guild out when they grew too bold with their thieving, and they would make trade difficult in return by paying brigands to attack wool convoys. Neither side could gain a military advantage for long. Eventually, the guild simply took over more of the legitimate wool markets and charged higher prices to make up for their illicit losses, setting a precedent of conflict for Keldic's rule. The real trouble started when Keldic inadvertently intervened between a half-orc assassin and his markβa minor knight who failed to pay off gambling debts to Gastiona Lod of Spinecastle. While riding through his barony, Keldic killed the assassin on the spot, stripped the knight of his title, and discovered the trail led to the fighting slave pits of Spinecastle, run by local Ripper Clans (who were also used by the thieves' guild as paid muscle). Keldic immediately went after the Hobgoblins with a vengeance. A decade of warfare ensued. The de-spurred knight's family refused to render aid, and some say they even helped the Rippers by allowing them passage through their lands in exchange for not sacking their serfs' hamlets. The Rippers ultimately succeeded in laying waste to the Barony, killing off Keldic's entire family by capturing them one by one and sending them to die in the very pits Keldic was trying to shut down. Keldic was recuperating with his wife and youngest daughter in his manor at Wanborne when Trozigs raiders attacked. He and his wife were killed, their bodies put on display, while his daughter Sophia was reportedly either sent back to the Rippers' castle or perhaps north to Spinecastle. |equipment = Plate Armor, Longsword, Lance, signet ring of the Barony. }}
