|synopsis= The parties rest is interrupted repeatedly leaving them exhausted as dawn breaks over WanborneSession Summary: ===

Horin with Luthaist in two takes off at a brisk walk to check on the guard station on the north end of town. He finds two guards wounded sitting with their backs to the side of the bridge, an elven ranger named Gunther stands upon the stone wall of the bridge lookin across the bog and forest to the north. After a brief chat Horin heals the two guards and Luthaist stays with Gunther to keep watch while Horin heads back to the house to get some rest with the party.

Around 0100 the party is awoken by a rat scurrying along the wall and under the door.

Around 0600 the party is awoken by the sounds of clawing from under the floor they are sleeping on. Ragnum is startled to see an eye looking at him through the crack in the floor and jumps up quickly. Kruger and Ragnum begin hacking at the floor and open up a hole allowing them to see a large (12+' long) inky black furry creature moving away from them. The party exits the building but not before a tentacle grabs Kruger and take a bite out of his leg sending him to a beserk rage. He quickly hacks up the tentacle and then turns his fury on Ragnum. Meanwhile Horin uses his sacred flame to attack the beast which is slowly pushing its way up through the hole in the floor.

Kruger regains his control and lands a brutal series of blows on the beast before losing his mind to the blood lust again. Ragnum casts Aura of Protection to try to help Kruger fight his rage in between attacks from the now visible displacer beast that is constantly shifting position further enraging Kruger as he's unable to land any telling blows. In the midst of all the distractions Ragnum dramatically loses control of his hammer leaving him unarmed.

Moving outside to the porch just as the guards rush up and Horin instructs them to torch the building. The guards light the oil flasks and smash them onto the building which quickly catches fire. After a few tens rounds of combat Kruger and Horin manage to finish off the beast as Ragnum manages to grab his ax Horin grabs the rest of the parties gear just as the building is completely consumed by fire. Horin and Ragnum quickly back away from Kruger and teh burning building to give him time to cool off.

As the blood lust leave Kruger - Ragnum and Horin realize something is oddly amiss with Kruger perhaps caused by his ax - and they attempt to dispel magic on the ax. The ax glow dims briefly leaving Horin and Ragnum to ponder the results, meanwhile the remainder of the party gathers in the street to look up in the morning sky.

It is near 10 on the morning of the 7th day.
