Ragnum, ever vigilant, encountered Credgemoor, the seemingly unassuming acolyte, within the confines of his own dwelling. A moment of unease settled over Credgemoor as he realized the party had inadvertently intruded upon his sanctuary. Ragnum, with his keen eye for detail, noticed an old, tarnished emblem of Pelor tucked away in a shadowed corner, a silent testament to Credgemoor's past devotion. A flicker of hope ignited within Ragnum, a belief that this man, despite his apparent seclusion, might be a potential ally.

Ragnum meets Credgemoor the acolyte and finds out they entered his house.  He notices an old emblem of Pelor tucked away out of sight and realizes he may be able to help the party. After an initial discusison it becomes clear that Credgemoor isnt quite right in the head. He clearly affiliates with Pelor but seems to have lost his way and now feels more in line with nature. Sensing his reluctance and perhaps his guilt at going astray Ragnum attempts to pursade Credgemore to take on the role of town protector. Credgemoor looks puzzled - simply says goodnight and taking his sack of root vegetables locks himslef in his room and sounds of snoring issue forth moments later.
An initial discussion revealed a disquieting truth: Credgemoor's mental state was far from stable. Though his affiliation with Pelor remained, his connection to the divine seemed fractured, replaced by an unsettling affinity for the natural world. Ragnum, sensing Credgemoor's inner conflict, his reluctance and perhaps his guilt at straying from his path, attempted to persuade him to embrace a new role as the town's protector.

Ragnum scans the room and investigates the chest. The chest contains his tabbard and acolyte gear.
Credgemoor's response was a mixture of bewilderment and evasion. With a simple "goodnight," he retreated to his room, clutching a sack of root vegetables. Moments later, the rhythmic sounds of snoring echoed through the thin walls, a stark contrast to the unresolved tension in the air.

Ragnum and Stirkirk debate the merits of negotiation and getting to know your adversary vice direct conversioin by ax.  They sleep uneventfully. Breakfast is served and Horin creates food and water for him. He leaves to sit at the stones.
Ragnum, his curiosity piqued, scanned the room, his gaze settling upon a weathered chest. Upon opening it, he discovered his own tabard and acolyte gear, a tangible reminder of his past life.

A philosophical debate ensued between Ragnum and Stirkirk, their voices a low murmur in the quiet house. Ragnum advocated for the merits of negotiation and understanding one's adversary, while Stirkirk, ever pragmatic, championed the direct approach of "conversion by axe." The night passed uneventfully, and the following morning, a simple breakfast was served. Horin, with a gentle touch, conjured food and water for Ragnum, a gesture of quiet support. Ragnum then departed, seeking solace and guidance among the ancient stones.

Party decides to leave for the western lands. They find the field gate open again and a lone sentry standing on the road. Strage sounds are heard coming form the mist ahead as though a heavy boot is being pulled out of the muck and placed back down again step by setp towards the party yet they see nothing. Morick informs the party that the fastest way to Demoray is due west by taking the ferry across Sorgen Lake but payment will be steep. The alternate routes are to the north via the still maintained road to Harford or south via Brigoram. The Brigorma path is faster but requires traversing the bog.
====Beginning of Day 8:====

Ragnum and Horin decide to take the most direct route via the ferry and cross lake Sorgen. After exchanging pleasantries with Morik they depart to the SW.
The party, their resolve firm, decided to venture westward, towards the lands of Demoray. As they approached the field gate, they found it standing open once more, a lone sentry stationed on the road. A sense of unease settled upon them as they heard strange, unsettling sounds emanating from the mist ahead. It was as though a heavy boot was being pulled from thick, clinging mud, only to be placed down again, step by deliberate step, drawing closer. Yet, despite the audible approach, nothing was visible through the dense, swirling mist.

This Session[edit source]

Ragnum, ever vigilant, encountered Credgemoor, the seemingly unassuming acolyte, within the confines of his own dwelling. A moment of unease settled over Credgemoor as he realized the party had inadvertently intruded upon his sanctuary. Ragnum, with his keen eye for detail, noticed an old, tarnished emblem of Pelor tucked away in a shadowed corner, a silent testament to Credgemoor's past devotion. A flicker of hope ignited within Ragnum, a belief that this man, despite his apparent seclusion, might be a potential ally.

Beginning of Day 8:

The party, their resolve firm, decided to venture westward, towards the lands of Demoray. As they approached the field gate, they found it standing open once more, a lone sentry stationed on the road. A sense of unease settled upon them as they heard strange, unsettling sounds emanating from the mist ahead. It was as though a heavy boot was being pulled from thick, clinging mud, only to be placed down again, step by deliberate step, drawing closer. Yet, despite the audible approach, nothing was visible through the dense, swirling mist.

Morick, ever knowledgeable of the region's treacherous paths, informed the party that the fastest route to Demoray lay due west, across Sorgen Lake via ferry. However, he warned that the ferryman's fee would be steep. The alternate routes were to the north, along the still-maintained road to Harford, or to the south, through the perilous Brigoram bog. The bog path, though faster, posed significant risks.

Ragnum and Horin, weighing the options, opted for the most direct route, the ferry across Sorgen Lake. After exchanging polite farewells with Morick, they set off to the southwest, their journey towards Demoray now underway.
