Previously…[edit | edit source]

An advance group of the PC's snuck aboard the Sea Ghost while Balmaris and Ricfire arrive at the Empty Net and heal Egon before joining them on the Sea Ghost. Aldran and Bloody Helena traded blows before he threw her over the side in a fit of rage. The PC's go into the forward compartment to look for the crew while the rest of the PC's arrive. Myra and her Cuthroats quickly regrouped below decks and emerged from the aft of the ship rushing forward en-masse cutting through the PC's like butter. Balmaris was dumped over the side, Ricfire was literarily disarmed and died from his wounds, while Nail was stunned and bound up in ropes. Durmen is hiding below decks while Aldran and Egon fight for their life on the forecastle.

Interludes[edit | edit source]

Probably none unless the PC's manage to defeat Myra and her cutthroats which at this point given 1/2 the PC's are dead seems pretty unlikely.

Sailing the Sea Ghost back to Port[edit | edit source]

  • If the PC's subdue the crew they will need to get the Sea Ghost back to port to claim their bounty. The Sea Elves will be spotted following the boat.

Halvor Pays out the Bounty[edit | edit source]

  • Pay out the bounty on Myra if killed or captured. The PC's will need to goto the village hall to collect the following day.
  • Eira may be spotted skulking about the courthouse (in disguise) DC 18 to spot
  • Anya may be seen watching with sadness

Planned Events[edit | edit source]

Myra shouts out Press the Attack lads - we've got them on the run! The rest of you louts prepare to get the ship underway.

For combat in the water:
Only piercing weapons function normally. All other weapons have disadvantage (unless you have a swimming speed). Bows don't function, so they still have disadvantage, cross bows work well, similar to a spear gun. Ranged weapons can only attack in the close range distance.

Drowning the Crew[edit | edit source]

Holding breath is one minute for each +1 con modifier. So, a character could hold its breath for up to 5 minutes. When a creature runs out of breath or is choking, it can survive for a number of rounds equal to its Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 round). At the start of its next turn, it drops to 0 hit points and is dying, and it can't regain hit points or be stabilized until it can breathe again.

Balmaris must get his armor off or drown in four rounds.

The crew of the whale boat will try to rescue Balmaris but fail. Once he drowns a sea elf will rescue him.

Nail will be thrown over the side in one round, once the pirates move him to the edge of the boat. He will have to get his armor off or drown in four rounds.

Ricfire is dead having failed his three Death Saves?

The Sea Elves Arrive[edit | edit source]

  • Depending on how the battle goes they elves may assist/reduce the party. They wont directly attack the pirates but will call to the PC's to jump over the side.
