Day: Party rests for 10 days in Kazel Hold

Synopsis:

The party accepts the quest to secure Oleg Keep and rid the surrounding lands of humanoids in order to restore order to the Marches.

Session Summary:

Mourn talks to Sulimor, they discover:

  • Party gets an explanation of the demi-plane and time dialation effects as they have been gone over twice the duration of their time in the plane.
  • Things in windows, gates, doors, and extradimensional space are confirmation of the nexus and Azal’Lans rip in space.
  • The Drow are not yet a threat to the Marches if they are trapped in the demi-plane like the other human abductees.
  • The party returns Artagok Darzog’s signet ring.
  • The party wants to return to the demi-plane to free the pesants.
  • Kruegar Darzog gifte the party
    • Suit of finely wrought but non-magical Dwarven Plate for Ragnum
    • Repaired magic bow and 24 magic arrows (+1) for Mourn
    • A spell book for Gallandrin (3 3rd, 2 4th, 1 5th)
    • A staff of healing for Horin
    • Gauntlets of Ogre Power for Ragnum
    • A cloak of elvenkind for Luthaist
    • Now at name level and befetting their station as defenders of the realm, each member recieves a golden broach with the symbol of Darzog Clan and a knighthood.
    • 50 men-at-arms, 10 elvish archers, 10 dwarven heavy infantry, and 30 human ssword/spearmen.

Grimsom the Gnome shaman takes a moment to discuss options. They decide to head north and try to reclaim Oleg Keep in the northern Blemu Hills.

Nerfil the Gnome alchemist, provides a potion of extended stamina with a 48 hour duration to aid the party on their run to the north.

Gallandrin inspires the troops to challenge themselves as befitting those who accompany hero’s of the realm. They begin running and clearing “Gallandrins Road” to the north.

Mourn and the Seargent lead the party out of the Hold and into the wilderness, heading north.

1/2 days run they come to a stream and spot a dozen brigands and some hobgoblins setting an ambush on the far bank. They rush in before they can comeplete their preperations.The charge startles the brigands who run.

Luthaist scouts ahead to flank the brigands and see’s more shadows in the trees.

Gallandrin sends his hawk familiar wforward and stracks the brigands running north.

Mourn tracks the runing brigands and figures out thier direction is Russk Keep, they manage to kill four of the twelve brigands.

Moral boost for Troops

After the battle Luthaist finds a letter of Marque on the brigands. 

Horin bleses the troops.

Theparty decides to bypass Ruusk Keep for now with the intention of returning once they secure Oleg Keep and the lands around it. They decide to veer north east to avoid Ruusk Keep and head directly to Oleg Keep by the old road now overgrown with weeds.

1130XP Milestone - Agreeing to head north to rid the lands around Oleg Keep of the invaders.
