Previously...

Previously in the Ivae Orr Campaign...

  • Ragnum fights his way out of the Purple Worm Mine and rejoins the party on the road to Wanborne.
  • The party learns of the impending assault on the village of Grenvik and Oleg Keep. They debate whether or not to aid Baron or let Velors army and possibly take out the Baron for them.
  • Stirkirk thinks he's late for battle and rallies the troops early, then heads north towards Oleg Keep.
  • PC's meet up with the Elven rangers on the road

Session 95 - The army leaves for Grenvik

Interludes

Use these when the packing slows down and you need to shake things up.

Bog Trolls and hags

If the PC's venture into Grenvik Bog looking for the undead army they will likely be attacked by 4-8 trolls. They won't venture more than a bowshot or two out of the bog. They will stalk the party and attempt to grapple/drag them deeper into the bog by grabbing a leg or arm and running into the muddy water. Athletics check to keep their head above water. Each failure results in 4-16 points of damage and they gain one level of exhaustion. The hag lives in the center of the bog and will appear first as a young girl who feigns being abducted by hiding in the tall rushes. She will attack the weakest member of the party first, and prefer to eliminate any spell casters if she can. She can all upon the trolls who will arrive in 1-6 rounds.

Planned Events

Elven rangers meet the PC's on the Wanborne road

  • They were keeping an eye on the road to Oleg Keep when they were attacked by a group of Hobgoblins. The lost one member in the fight. The undead attacked both groups. The hobgoblins fell back towards Oleg Keep, while the elves headed south towards Wanborne.
  • The undead seemed to be gathering near Grenvik Bog which is south east of Oleg Keep and seem to be intelligently lead (undead lord)

The Barons messenger Dyson Fairhair arrives asking the PC's to help defeat the undead army.

Cliffhanger

They see the Hobgoblins and Baron fighting the undead together from inside the keep. They should realize that now joined together they won't be able to beat the Baron in an open fight.
