Timeline of Events: Echoes of Lhynn
Before the Adventure Begins:
- Ancient History:
- The Empire of Lhynn flourishes as a powerful Suel civilization.
- The Great Cataclysm occurs, destroying Lhynn and scattering its knowledge.
- The runestone network is either created or destroyed during this time.
- Recent Past:
- Lhynn agents, aware of their impending destruction, devise a plan to alter the timeline.
- Lexana Brightshore is sent to Bellport, establishing herself as a merchant and arms dealer.
- The PCs find a spellbook in a haunted mansion, unaware of its significance. The book was left by a thief waiting for a ship to Lhynn.
- Lexana is killed by the PC's.
- 24 Hours Prior to the Adventure:
- The stolen spellbook, detailing the runestone network, is stolen.
- The book is taken to the Obsidian Flask.
- Quilliam Flickerwick posts a reward for the spellbook's return.
Adventure Timeline:
- Day 1, Morning:
- The PCs are resting at the Silver Swan in Bellport.
- They overhear a rumor about the stolen spellbook and the reward.
- They learn about the upcoming magic item auction at the Obsidian Flask.
- Day 1, Afternoon:
- The PCs investigate Bellport, gathering information about Lexana Brightshore and the stolen spellbook.
- They may visit the King's Coin to gather information from less reputable sources.
- Day 1, Evening:
- The magic item auction begins at the Obsidian Flask.
- The PCs attend the auction, observing the attendees and gathering clues.
- A description of the stolen book is given, and the PC's realize they have it.
- The thieves, or Lhynn agents, realize the PCs have the spellbook and begin their pursuit.
- Day 1, Night/Day 2:
- The PCs decipher the spellbook and learn about the runestone network.
- They travel to the Kron Hills to investigate the runestones.
- They encounter Lhynn agents and thieves attempting to activate or control the runestones.
- The PC's travel through a runestone gate, and find themselves in the past.
- The PC's must now deal with the time travel aspect of the adventure.
- Day 2/Beyond:
- The PCs confront the Lhynn agents and decide the fate of the runestone network.
- They may have to prevent the agents from altering the timeline or choose to alter it themselves.
- The adventure concludes with the PCs' actions having consequences for Bellport and the Flanaess.
