Synopsis

War drums in the mines

This Session

Balmaris makes an excellent

Ricfire slips but resumes climbing

Alderman climbs up


Nail finds a lair of ghoul treasure and moves up a pasaweay to the east wiggling his way through a crevasses.


Goblines advance after they detect the stuff in the mine, they fail to detect Balmaris and Egon.

Ricfire slips and falls, suspended form the rope and hits the wall form more blood spraying out.

Into the cravass

Nail is clambering up the passageway as the should rushes up upon him. Channel divinity on the ghoul and freezes him too the ground in fear of his holy word.

Durmen throws an ice knife that misses but explodes nearly killing one goblin and startling the others.

The goblins scream in terror and run back up the mines. Durmen slips and knocks himself out. Egon ignores his plea for help.


Balmaris remains hidden as the goblins advance then suddenly retreat in good order back whence they came.

Nail decided not to climb up to the wall to the storage room as he noted a right but rather continue east as the pass winds its way upward.


Egon is unable to see the hobgoblins and so retreats back to his hiding spot.

The hobgoblins are making a large ruckus from around the corner. (tipping over the carts)


Balmaris fireboats the hobgoblin but misses. He sees' they have made a blockade and taken cover behind the overturned carts.

Ricfire climbs back up the wall lookup up Aldrin's kilt

Nail moves along the wall and finds a room has built in the cavern.

Aldran is now 1/2 way up the 80' wall and secure s himself to Durmens rope.


Goblins make their move

Goblins hit Balmaris with arrows.

Durmen attempts to climb up and secures himself to the rail to take the load off his rope enabling Aldran to climb up without having all his weight tied to him directly.

Egon moves forward to where he can see the hobgoblins in the dim light (20') and attempts to charm them.He succeeds and they tel their comrade to cease fire.

Balmaris throws up the rope to pul the remainder of the party up.

Alan slips and the rope keeps him from falling Ricfire grabs grope and leaps out in a wild .who sticks a 3 point lining with a grit success.

Nail continues his exploration to the west. Ignore the passage to the north.


Durmen, Balmaris, and Ricfire joins forces to pull Aldran up the wall but fails to roll a 16 to pull Aldran up the cliff wall. (15 needed a 16) Notice the sailors have left the dock.

Nail finds the door and barges through.


The goblins unload on Egon

The goblins hiding behind the overturned cart gather their courage and in a smoothly coordinated action unleash a volley of arrows on Egon. Durmen takes aim at eh what he suspects is the center of the mass of goblincs and returns fire with an exploding ice knife. His knife kills its target and the shrapnel takes out the tightly clusterd goblincs. (Killing 2 the two wounded hobgoblins and the 5 goblins outright.) Silence falls across the passageway. Balmaris is the first to rush in to unhook the gnomes from the overturned cart and start scooping up the gems. After take a minute to grab what they can the party moves towards the pier looking for a place to hide and take a short rest.

Meanwhile Nail moves through the concealed door and out to the NW passage. He tries to open the door to his left but its locked and stoutly built. So we moves to the west as quitely as he cant and spies evidence of recent mining. His torch cant light the entire cavern but it seems like ther entir room gliters with gems rather than the supposedly silver they were told to expect in this mine.


The docks

They note the cargo isn't fully unloaded. the room is locked with a heavy padlock that opens easily in Ricfires hands.

The party places Aldran on watch as they enter the pier warehouse room. Makeshift living quarters.

Balmaris suggests they make the lock look its locked, from the outside. Barricade the door from the insite.sHidden stealth roll.. Noting disturbed.

Aldran takes a 4 hour watch/short rest.

      • Need to check to see of hobgoblins notice the lock. ***
