Returning to Oakhaven
The faint light of dawn barely pierced the gloom of The Crag and Kettle as the adventurers from the previous night, still reeling from the whispers of Lexana Brightshores' survival, sought solace and rest. Aldran, ever the boisterous one, made himself comfortable, much to the quiet chagrin of Borin, the tavern keeper. Borin, a man of simple pleasures and late-night veggie plates, found his establishment's usual quiet disturbed by the ramblings of Durmen and Balmaris's search for a soft spot. Aldran, in a rare moment of diplomatic finesse (or perhaps just a desire for a good night's sleep), smoothed things over with Borin, who, despite his grumbling, settled down to guard his bar and his peace. A full, if slightly boisterous, rest was had by all.

Transport Options
With the morning came the practicalities of travel. The party bid Borin farewell and made their way to the Iron Hoof Stables. Berrick, the smith, was a man of few words and even less enthusiasm, but the gleam of the party's gems—presented with a flourish by Aldran—proved persuasive. Two horses and a wagon were procured, the latter of which Balmaris noted bore the distinctive markings of the merchant guild. "Stolen, perhaps?" he mused, a silent question hanging in the air. With an hour to kill before their departure, the party decided to explore the sleepy town of Oakhaven.
Elder Theon
Their stroll led them back towards the Crag and Kettle, when a peculiar building to the east caught their eye. Bathed in the morning sun, it seemed to shimmer with an otherworldly glow. As they drew closer, Durmen, with his keen eye for the arcane, noticed intricate glyphs etched into the very stones. Balmaris, despite his efforts, found them utterly indecipherable. A knock on the door brought forth Elder Theon, an old man whose weary eyes hinted at a night spent poring over ancient texts. Durmen, to the sage's surprise, managed to decipher fragments of the glyphs, revealing wards against extra-planar beings and prohibitions against entry or exit. Theon, ever the curmudgeon, simply told them to "read the glyphs and come back later," slamming the door shut with a resounding thud.
Bookattidue!
Continuing their perambulations, a young halfling woman tending a vibrant garden greeted them with a broad smile and a wave. She introduced herself as Leia, and her eyes immediately found Durmen, though her playful flirting extended to Aldran as well. "Ooooo, he reads!" she exclaimed, "He's so dreamy!" Lei, an eighteen-year-old with a thirst for adventure and a dagger at her hip, declared her intention to join the party as their cook. "My father won't be pleased," she admitted, "but I'm ready for some excitement!" Durmen, with a knowing smirk at Aldran, declared "Bookattitude!" as he finally, finally, seemed to have captured a damsel's attention. The two scholars ambled towards the Crag and Kettle, deep in conversation about their favorite authors.
Open up! want to buy somthing
Meanwhile, Aldran, ever focused on practical matters, decided a new axe was in order and headed for the weaponsmith. He pounded on the door, bellowing, "I know you're in there! The sun is up! We got stuff to buy, open up!" Keelin, the blacksmith, was clearly not a morning person. Hungover and clad only in a shirt, he grumbled about being disturbed. Aldran, showcasing his sapphires, persuaded Keelin to open up, and the party acquired +1 exceptional weapons. Aldran, ever the connoisseur of custom weaponry, inquired about a unique dagger. Keelin, with a few snarky remarks about Aldran's weapon skills and choices ("daggers are for girls," he sneered), offered to wrestle Aldran for it.
Adlran and Keelan face off
The challenge was accepted. Keelin, stripped to the waist, met Aldran in the street. The first blow was Keelin's, a solid punch that drew blood from Aldran's face. But Aldran, wiping the crimson from his lip, unleashed a critical strike that split Keelin's skull. Blood gushed, blinding the smith, and he crumpled to the ground. "Maybe you need to talk to your customers with more respect," Aldran declared, striding off towards the tavern. "I'll be back for that dagger, and put on some pants before you sell stuff!"

And batting cleanup - Balmaris
Satisfied with his win, Aldran heads to the tavern. Meanwhile Balmaris, the ever-practical cleric, observed Keelin's dire injuries. Mumbling about being the only cleric in Greyhawk who seemed to heal the party's enemies more than his allies, he swiftly bound and healed the blacksmith's wounds. With Keelin stabilized, Balmaris followed Aldran to the tavern, another decision point looming: north or south?
