Session Summary

Synopsis

Following the initial chaos, the party attempts to stabilize the injured and investigate the strange alien technology. Aldran receives a painful, but effective, cure from the medical droid. An investigation into the inert Robo Dame and a seized computer terminal reveals the shocking truth about Lexana: she is an escaped Phasnosh clone, known as "The Stabilized Anomaly." The session ends as two Police Robots converge, declaring their intent to "Purge the infection."

Medical Mayhem and The Cure

The session began with the party tending to their allies amidst the wreckage. Egon offered his neck to the Medical Nurse Droid for an injection, immediately entering a trance. The party finished off a final fleeing Vegepygmy with attacks from Balmaris's Spiritual Hammer and Durmen's Magic Missile.

Aldran approached the Nurse for healing and was scanned with a red laser. In a shocking moment, the Nurse grabbed Aldran and injected him in the groin, causing him to drop in blinding pain as his eyes rolled back. The pain subsided as Aldran realized the treatment had seemingly cured his long-term STD, leaving him in a state of euphoric quietude. However, he was left with a form of echolocation blindness, perceiving only moving opponents as sound-colors.

The Phasnosh Clone Discovery

The party began searching the newly secured area.

Robo Dame Investigation: Egon, in his altered state, uttered the name "Lexana," which echoed around him, causing the inert Robo Dame to spasm violently. The party noted she was wearing an ID Card tucked between her breasts. Durmen cast Mend while Nail simultaneously cast a healing spell on the cyborg, rapidly healing her skin and outer trauma.

Data Retrieval

Durmen investigated the Amber-colored Terminal (The glyphs have the letters VT100 along the top) and found critical information by successfully passing an Arcana check for Lexana Brightshore:

• Subject ID: L. BRIGHTSHORE (Experiment 7: 'The Stabilized Anomaly'). Genetic Match: 99.998% match to Phasnosh Crew Member C. VALERIUS. Alert: Replication Sequence 2 was terminated 4 cycles ago due to "Hostile Template Discrepancy."

This confirmed Lexana was some kind of construct, a clone by the description now —an escaped experiment designated as "The Stabilized Anomaly."

The Crash

Durmen's critical failure on a follow-up question about the location of Brightshore caused Robo Babe to immediately shut down and collapse twitching on the floor. Balmaris and Durmen quickly looted a Brown ID Card, a wand with a strange looking ivory protrusion just big enough to fit in a human sized hand along with two crystal potions, and a valuable looking device that looks like it fits upon a wrist.

Cliffhanger: Purge Protocol Activated

The sounds of the nearby Police Robots slowed and stopped briefly, followed by their sudden re-engagement. Two massive Police Droids appeared from the East passage, locking onto the party and shouting their directive: "Purge the infection!"
